It’s great. My many lists have worked. All packing done by Sept 1 was completed a week early.
Now it’s self care, saying goodbye to friends and releasing my 12 year NC home to wander again.
I’m at peace 💫

When we moved here, we had lived on the farm for 22 years. And I am a certified pack rat.
But it took us 6 months to find the right house, so I had a lot of time to declutter, organize, and pack.
The move was super smooth and everything came into the house and directly to the room in belonged in. Unpacking was a breeze.
Or so I thought.
I had to go to a big box store and buy silverware to use until I could find ours, which was in the garage.☺️

I post an inventory on each box which makes life a lot easier on the other end.
I had color coded tags on everything! Somehow, the silverware just ended up in the wrong box. It was with a bunch of stuff taken out of the car we sold when we moved.
??? Each of us swore the other was responsible, but he's not here, so I'm swearing he did it.

In all fairness, I started packing in February for a temporary move to this apt in March.
My own apt is STILL not fully renovated 6 months later. So much for 4-6 weeks in temporary apt.
But I only unpacked the bare minimum. Then reduced my stuff even further.
I was a professional declutterer so lots of sorting/packing experience.
Always plan a week before a move to catch your breath.
