The calcium I take has D3 in it. She just wanted me to stop taking a separate D3 pill.

Well, you don't want to take them if you don't need them. The problem imo is some doctors hear you have a problem and without much thought prescribe whatever drug the pharma sales rep left samples of.
As an example of a doctor thoughtfully prescibing supplements, when I mentioned to my main cardio that I had miserable pins & needles in my feet when I lie down, she said "magnesium" and she was right. After trying a couple different formulations, poof! Fixed.
Everyone needs magnesium per health experts.
They both are from University of Chicago and I wonder if it's a UofC thing.
