When people say “keeping cats inside is cruel” they don’t stop to think of the differences in location and situation.
We have a lot of outdoor critters here, most of them native and at least one is very dangerous to domestic animals and small children. Our cats have always been indoor cats. At one time I was the manager of a vet clinic and I saw the outdoor cats when they were brought in.
