My brother had a major accident as a kid when the farm truck ran over and crushed his hips/ legs. He was taken to Chicago because there was a shortage of surgeons due to WWII. His elderly surgeon was trained in Civil War techniques. When brother got a hip replacement in the 90’s, they brought in all the interns to see how the injury had been treated.

Wow! How was he after the replacement? I understand a lot of people are thrilled with the difference

@BrazenlyLiberal It was great. He had the second done and it was great. They only last around 15 years. He was scheduled to have the first redone due to age but he died suddenly.
