Let's be clear - the case was NOT dismissed on its merits and doesn't claim to be.
It was dismissed based on the bizarre and highly reversible notionn that Jack Smith was appointed as Special Prosecutor unconstitutionally.
Interestingly, Clarence Thomas was recently quoted putting forth that very possibility.
Very reversible.

Trump's hand picked SCOTUS
Let's be clear that Cannon's "decision" isn't going to stand up for fifteen minutes in front of any appeals court.
All it's going to do is get her taken off the case and probably treated pretty poorly in the court's response. Again.
You're right. It would be appealed to District Court which would reverse.
And then Trump's lawyers would fairly certainly appeal the reversal.
That sends it to Trump's SCOTUS where it will be delayed even further, certainly past November.
If Trump wins in November, the case will be dismissed with prejudice.
The best we can hope for is that Biden will win.

This current crop of Trump attorneys have shown they will throw everything at the wall in an effort to delay the case. So, no, I don't recall a previous case going to SCOTUS, but I find that fact irrelevant in the current more desperate circumstances.
I don't prophesy certain doom. This is a fairly narrowly defined situation from which to draw such a sweeping conclusion.
In addition, finding *one* argument irrelevant is a far cry from "dismiss(ing) any arguments ... as irrelevant."
In any event, if you find me tiresome on this or any other topic, you know how to curate your own experience.
