I wonder if the absence of an audience will be the advantage some Democrats believe it will.
Trump plays to the audience, making the kind of bizarre pronouncements that are excellent fodder for next day campaign ads.
Without an audience, he's more restrained. Oh, he still serves up a gish gallop of lies, but fewer moments of bombastic absurdity.
@BrazenlyLiberal the mute button is Trump's best friend - although he'd never admit that. It would take away from his martyr persona.
