If you live in Ohio, #Vote today!
If you know someone who lives in Ohio, remind them to vote.
Yes, it's an odd day for an election and it's a one issue vote to boot,, but that's why it's scheduled. The GOP wants as low a turnout as possible. They're hoping only their most loyal and active base will come out.
On the ballot is the ability of Ohio citizens to have some control over their constitution. While it's intended to make it more difficult to protect women's health, it impacts everyone.
Oops! Forgot to say
#VOTENO on State Issue 1!
@BrazenlyLiberal My family and I voted on Sunday. 5 NO votes!
WELL DONE!!!
@BrazenlyLiberal Was also my daughters first time voting!
That's great! I read once - don't remember where - that one of the strongest predictors of whether or not an American will vote is if their parents voted
Currently, Ohio citizens can change their state constitution by voting 50% or more to do so. The issue being voted on today will raise that to 60%, making it more difficult for citizens to have any input in how the state is run.
