Long day.
At a Family gathering this weekend.
The purpose is to pass on knowledge of traditional Puerto Rican holiday dishes to the next generation and remember those who will not be at our celebration this holiday season.
At one point i excused myself to go to the bathrooom and cry. Just a week ago we were called trash. This week working in the kitchen were teachers, nurses, cops, public defenders, a doctor, grad students, middle & high school students being of service to others.
Yes, but it took me a while not to care.
I feel for those who are young (preteens and teens) who will now be in a world where their ethnicity, culture & traditions will be under attack.

¡Boriqua!
@Bliss It’s a beautiful idea. Preserving traditions-especially those centered around food-brings people together. And that kind of action is a big F*CK YOU to the idiots who think the only way to feel good about themselves is to tear others down. 🇵🇷
@Bliss 💧 I saw this when I was young. I thought it was in the rearview mirror.
I learned they have to mean something to me to hurt me. He, they, will never mean anything to me.
