What the fuck is wrong with these people?!?!
“Officials in Ireland have fined Meta $101 million for storing hundreds of millions of user passwords in plaintext and making them broadly available to company employees”
“Meta disclosed the lapse in early 2019.”
No. This isn’t a lapse. Meta has ROUTINELY fucked up security. It’s not like security isn’t hard, it’s just THEY DON’T CARE.
This is level 101 — DO NOT STORE SENSITIVE DATA IN PLAINTEXT.
JFC
Security measures with fb - DON'T
- have auto sign-in - the app stores your passwd
- use Fb to sign into other apps
- store payments (credit card info) on Fb
@Bliss @feloneouscat wise advice, I’m not on Facebook but if for some reason I get back ( sometimes I get back for a day or two if I need to contact someone) I will do that .
Thanks!!
