Not old enough to use social media
But old enough to have your parents marry you off while under the age of 17.
Red states are a joke…
Basically it makes the sites verify identity with shit like license numbers, it’s a huge privacy violation because it makes these sites verify all new accounts.
So basically you have to hand over your personal info to social media companies that have a illustrious history of misusing said personal information.
yeaaahhh, no fuckin' way would I give them my driver's license info!
I mean social media companies are going to sue but if they lose I expect they’ll just block services in red states and then the “Cancel culture is bad” folks can get upset about the self censorship.
You know just getting super upset about their actions having consequences.
@BlastBunny 1st amendment violation, dead on arrival.
Oh it’s absolutely a violation of free speech, but conservatives think kids are property so the constitution somehow doesn’t apply.
@BlastBunny That, and this a sell for their voters. It says; "This world where these rules I'm putting forth, it could be yours, but pesky democracy keeps shooting down these laws. Help do away with a free democracy and this world will be exactly what I'm selling to you now."
I just think it’s time for these people to stop
pretending that they actually want freedom.
They want force, they want legal coercion, the only rules and laws they want are the ones they believe in, and there’s no room for grey everything has to be black and white.
If you don’t fit into the box you’re made illegal and forced to conform.
@BlastBunny
I wonder how they plan on implementing this. Do they think they can demand a SM platform alter their rules for only their state? And how are they going to enforce this?
