I wonder how they plan on implementing this. Do they think they can demand a SM platform alter their rules for only their state? And how are they going to enforce this?
Basically it makes the sites verify identity with shit like license numbers, it’s a huge privacy violation because it makes these sites verify all new accounts.
So basically you have to hand over your personal info to social media companies that have a illustrious history of misusing said personal information.
I mean social media companies are going to sue but if they lose I expect they’ll just block services in red states and then the “Cancel culture is bad” folks can get upset about the self censorship.
You know just getting super upset about their actions having consequences.
