What in the sam hell?
Why do influential Republicans want to f*ck their family?

@Bix my latest suspension on the dumb cesspool ap was for the criticism of this very subject.

Republicans want to control every viable or non viable uterus including their own relatives because they are fading away faster than the gold paint on trump shoes.

Disgusting monsters.

@XSGeek @Bix Given that people have to be warned not to use toasters in the tub and not to drink radiator fluid, sometimes blanket taboos are better since some folks miss the small print.

@Bix WTF???? That explains the stupidity of most of them!

@Bix

Reminded me off an old old bad joke:

so.. if a couple in Arkansas get a divorce, are they still cousins?

@Bix

Omg I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! These people. 🙄

@Bix

Many generations if you're cousins.

Not so many if you're siblings, ffs.

@Bix

Okokok.

They claim sex outside of marriage is immoral.

But sibling sex is fine.

Siblings aren't allowed to knowingly marry each other.

I doubt they're carving out an exception for siblings (though I had an uncle claim him raping his step child wasn't bad, much less adultery, because the victim "wasn't kin" - he was throwing shade at his brother who raped his blood nieces).

They don't value consent. They value property, & this will be another step towards owning women outright.

@InUnfunky @Bix
I don't understand his kind of crazy, but I guess I respect the commitment. 💁🏻‍♀️

@CinnamonGirlE @Bix

Incest is sanctioned by Yahweh in the Old Testament, so for Praeger it probably doesn’t go much further than that.

@Bix Oh dear, that is some serious "ick". 🤢 🤮

@Bix

The argument here isn't specifically about incest.

It's claiming that *all* of morality is arbitrary, none of it makes any sense at all, and the only reason we label some things moral and other things immoral is because God told us what was moral and immoral in the Bible. If you don't have a Bible, you cannot possibly have any notion of morality; morality cannot be derived from logic, evidence, or an intuition of good and bad, but only from authoritarian decrees upheld by powerful Men.

@Bix

Of course such arguments are appealing to those who can't really understand why they should do anything good except out of fear, and who substitute a power drive for their lack of empathy; if they don't know what is good, they can at least enforce somebody else's idea of good and prevent ethical questions from even being discussed.
