Had outpatient procedures done yesterday. I'm SHOCKED (well, kinda) at the apathy of everyone from patients to staff - who DON'T WEAR MASKS.
I'm not talking about when they're casually outside or eating. Literally in the O.R. and the only masked ppl were me & the CRNA. Not the tech, not the surgical nurse, and not the Dr. when he came in to talk to me before (and after) procedure.
One patient was coughing so hard, non-stop, while unmasked staff cared for her 😷 😩 WTF

@BirdsAreCool WTF!!! The health system I work at requires everyone mask. I work in a procedural area. In the treatment room, we wear N95s. Sister-in-law was an inpatient at a for profit hospital recently. That hospital said masking was optional (I'm hoping that didn't include the OR or procedural areas). @jaunty and I wore N95s.

Follow

@TetsuKaba @jaunty I didn't see any N95s. Only a few procedural masks, one of them on me.
In FL, these medical facilities can do as they please. I was horrified.
