My wife and I have known each other since we were teenagers. We had our first kiss under a tree in a park near where she lived. Many years later I proposed to her under the same tree. When we got married I collected seeds from the tree and planted them in our back yard. So now we have our love trees offspring, as old as our marriage growing behind our house. They are coming up on 7 years old and are taller than me. Interestingly enough, Northern Catalpa’s have heart shaped leaves.

@BipolarArtist Aww, what an incredibly sweet love story. ❤️😊 You should make a copy of what you just said and have it framed for a spot on the wall of your home. If you both should ever have to move again someday, keep it there so the new owners understand the significance of the trees.

@ChillySnowgirl thank you! That is a nice idea. We are planning for this to be our forever home though!

@BipolarArtist I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news Damien, but it will eventually happen...unless you two are going to stay on there as a "forever guests". 👻👻
{Of course if that's the plan, you should include a photo of you both sitting underneath one of the trees, so they know what their ghosts look like. 🙃 }

@ChillySnowgirl haha yes nothing is forever. We’ll make sure the memory is preserved.
