As a creative person when I am executing an idea I need a chunk of time to sit down and do the work. But as far as coming up with new ideas it often happens when I am doing something else. Walking my dog, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, hell, even just laying in bed at night. So if you have writers block, get away from that blank page and go do something else. You may be surprised.
