Lori Vallow sentenced to life. That's sure more than her two children got. Save the money and do a public execution. Maybe it will slow the next nutcases down who want to attempt this. Unpopular opinion maybe, but it is still mine. https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/31/us/lori-vallow-daybell-sentencing/index.html
@CoyoteConscious @CinnamonGirlE My beef with the death penalty is how many actually innocent people have been executed, while the actual perpetrators walk free...if there is undisputable proof of guilt through, I'm down for Mme Guillotine singing her song...but it has to just that INDISPUTABLE PROOF...which is not witnesses...they are lousy with error.
@Avidspark @CoyoteConscious @CinnamonGirlE Yup. Not “beyond a reasonable doubt”, but “beyond a shadow of a doubt”.

Even with the incontrovertible proof, a lot of times, the people that are executed are not actually competent to be executed, but we do it anyway. We are executing people with mental capacity of eight year olds.
@Avidspark @CoyoteConscious
Of course. Agreed with that 100%. But if indisputable as it sometimes is? Off with their heads.
Witnesses are the lowest form of evidence. Absolutely! They are people.
