@VelvetDuchess
That counsel office has been locked tighter than Fort Knox since the beginning.
A leak, IMO, is intentional.
@Maude @VelvetDuchess Very odd that DOJ and Special Counsel's offices have been tighter than a drum for 18 months, and suddenly, as soon as Smith turns over discovery documents to Trump's defense teams, they're bigger leaks than 2 Olympic-sized swimming pools on Noah's Ark
@Maude @VelvetDuchess @Pat_Walrond I think if the jury can't all agree, it's a hung jury, not acquittal. I think with a hung jury, there can be another trial if the prosecutor wants it. Admittedly, I could be wrong. I was wrong once before. (That last sentence was a joke, and we all know jokes are much better when you have to explain them.)
@opie
And another 6-8 months before another trial
@Areno @VelvetDuchess @Pat_Walrond
@Areno
In the eyes of MAGA, and in the gaslighting of Trump, it will be called an "acquittal". (Remember Mueller report).
Hung jury, or MAGA acquittal, will have same result.
Almost another year before another trial can begin and Trump is off to the races.
Unless, Jack Smith has NJ lined up and ready to go. That one will be tough because to release the actual document from that audio will be exposing top secret information to the public.
@VelvetDuchess @Pat_Walrond
@Maude @Areno @VelvetDuchess Hung I'm not assuming a hung jury
@Maude @Pat_Walrond @VelvetDuchess Yes, it will have the same result as an acquittal, and Trump and his cult followers will tout it as an acquittal.
@Areno @Maude @VelvetDuchess @Pat_Walrond
yep, the jury failing to reach a unanimous verdict results in a mistrial, not an acquittal...up to prosecutor whether or not to try it all over again or not
