@rokkinbobokkin it’s a weird one bc two of the dudes in this song weren’t even in Gravediggaz. I am a fiend for this whole album. And 90’s NY hip-hop in general.

@Apocryphiliac
I'm predisposed to East Coat, because Cleveland.... We share that gritty cold weather vibe

@rokkinbobokkin Oh you’re from Cleveland but transplanted to Denver? No wonder we were talking about Gummo… yesterday? Today? Whenever that was. 😂

@Apocryphiliac
I moved away from Denver. I'm back in Ohio now, to take advantage of cheap property values.

@Apocryphiliac
I don't live in rural Ohio.
I live in Bone Thugs Cleveland.

@Apocryphiliac
Why did I click that? Shit stopped my Yoga Hosers for that.

@Apocryphiliac
You'd have to be from here to make a good one. Downtown is too easy.
And it hasn't looked like that in a long time. It's all lofts and condos and shit now. Trendy shops and whatever. Expensive restaurants.

@rokkinbobokkin I’ve actually heard good things, sorta. Anyway, like anyplace there is going to be some good and bad, I guess.

@Apocryphiliac It used to be real real fucked up. I lived down there in the 90s. Rent was cheap, living in warehouses and such. Hookers in the street. Actual crack dealers. All the good stuff. Complete urban decay.
All that shit is off in the edges now. Burned out, boarded up buildings.
The museums area is near my old neighborhood, if I go out, that's usually where I go. Hit cemetery, then my old hood. Party, crash. Uber home.

@rokkinbobokkin I used to live near East St. Louis… I kinda like urban decay and forlorn cities. Reflects my inner world. 😂

@Apocryphiliac oof. Now, St. Louis is rough. Can't even buy a six pack downtown. 4 pack limits. It's nuts down there. I've been there several times. Looks nice from the overpasses, especially near the brewery and stadium.

@Apocryphiliac I bet. I've been stopping through there for 25 years. It just gets worse. The hip hop radio is good though. Ngl

@rokkinbobokkin There always seem to be overtures toward development projects… never happens.

@Apocryphiliac
It's too bad. Those beautiful brick buildings near the brewery, all in decay.

@rokkinbobokkin yeah, truly. Ofc when they *do* develop areas they are just sites for hipsters and yuppies and everyone who had been there forever is priced out and has to leave. I dunno. Solutions seem to be in short supply for these type of places. There’s no filthy lucre in that type of thing.

The perpetual ebb and flow of capitalist America. Urban flight=Suburban Blight=Urban Renewal= IBTABA
