Is there any horror film that has aged more gracefully than the original A Nightmare on Elm Street? 🤔 It was released almost 38 years ago (Nov. 9, 1984) but it still feels fresh as hell, imho.

@Apocryphiliac I recently did a binge/rewatch of the entire series, and while they are obviously ups and downs, they really are well made, especially the first and third, and the fourth in its own way. It was really satisfying to go back and discover that it had aged so well
@Apocryphiliac also I've always had a crush on Heather Langenkamp
@BSylent Heather is so awesome! Nancy is definitely in my top 3 final girls. Oh, and you mentioned pt. 4, which definitely shifted the series' tone, but it's such a great practical FX ride, I wouldn't change a thing about it. I also think that New Nightmare is a mostly unrecognized masterpiece. :)
