O look again within yourself,
For I know you were once the elegant host
To all the marvels in creation.

From a sacred crevice in your body
A bow rises each night
And shoots your soul into God.

Behold the Beautiful Drunk Singing One
From the lunar vantage point of love.

He is conducting the affairs
Of the whole universe

While throwing wild parties
In a tree house - on a limb
In your heart.

~ Hafiz

I find this poem by hafiz profoundly moving.

Light
Will someday split you open
Even if your life is now a cage,
For a divine seed, the crown of destiny,
Is hidden and sown on an ancient, fertile plain
You hold the title to.

Love will surely bust you wide open
Into an unfettered, blooming new galaxy

Even if your mind is now
A spoiled mule.

A life-giving radiance will come,
The Friend's gratuity will come --

Disgusting.

CBC Politics: Senate ethics committee recommending Lynn Beyak be suspended again

...the ethics committee has concluded that she has not adequately addressed the underlining issue that led to her initial suspension: that she doesn't understand the pain she caused by describing Indian residential schools in positive terms and by posting racially-tinged letters to her website defending her position.

This is a brilliant visual demonstration of who has the wealth in the US.
Maybe if more people see this, it will start to sink in.

Happy 2020 CoSoNauts .. only had 2 glasses of wine, went to sleep at 10:45pm and still didn’t wake up till 9:00am 😊

What a country! I just voted. The whole process took me 15 minutes, including walking to the polling station around the corner. in Canada there is NO excuse not to vote.

I thought that some of you would be interested in this, either for yourself or for family members.

A lovely cover of Robbie Williams "Angel" by All Angels. I love massed voices and they do it very well. Plus Uilleann pipes...can't go wrong with those!

Lovely and haunting...Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu - Bäpa (Australian Aboriginal, 2008)

One thing I have discovered over the years is that music is truly universal. I don't understand a word of this song, but I have to say it is still one of the most haunting pieces I have ever heard. I still get goosebumps when I hear it. I am also a real sucker for the cello.

Sadly Geoffrey passed away last year at the age of 46.

The Tea Party - Temptation (Canadian)

Awesome hard rock. Epic drumming.

he Tea Party - The Bazaar (Canada)
Take the hard rock of Led Zeppelin, add Jim Morrison as the front-man, throw in a pinch of Middle-Eastern flavour, and you get The Tea Party, one of Canada's best hard rock bands. Great music for cleaning out the synapses at the end of a day.

Jewish/Sephardic Music - Oi Va Voi - The Gypsy (2003)

Many people have heard traditional klezmer music. What I like about this group is that it uses klezmer as a base but then adds a dose of swing and (in this case) almost a reggae groove. The album this song comes from is called Laughter Through Tears and I highly recommend it.

I came across this photo of a young Julie Andrews and it struck me how much she looked then like Emma Watson does now.

Quite stunning. counter.social/media/l2cLH17Ce
