Rimmer: How do you have twins when there are no women on board?

Lister: I don't know, but it's gonna be interesting finding out!

@FernLovebond @TMaskedWriter I have this explosive and uncontrollable laugh that is not at all ladylike. For some weird reason, people on planes don't really appreciate it. 🀷

I also got plenty of nasty looks for reading Ben Elton and Christopher Moore in public. The nerve of some people. 😜

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond Ooh, dig Ben Elton's work, too. Have you read "Dead Famous?"

@TMaskedWriter @FernLovebond I have read everything that man has ever typed. I am a shameless Ben Elton groupie. I read Dead Famous while working on a project in Dublin and left it behind in my hotel room with a note for the next guest to read it and enjoy.

@AmaryllisLanza @TMaskedWriter

Walk up to those scowling dirty lookers and say "Hey, if I was a 6-ft 5 African American man, would you still be glaring that way, mfer?"

Then flip them off. Or stab them. Probably the finger, though.

@FernLovebond @TMaskedWriter LOL. I have been told I destroy men with a raised eyebrow and a hard gaze. Mine is the resting birch face that sank a thousand ships.

But..not while laughing. 🀣

@FernLovebond @TMaskedWriter
I'm a birch
I'm a clover
I'm a cloud
I'm a ogre
I'm a spinner
I'm a faint
And I do not feel ashamed
I'm your knell
I'm your scream
I'm nothing in between
You know you wouldn't want it any other way...
😜

Just when you think you've got me figured out
the >season's< already changing
I think it's cool you do what you do
and don't try to shave me

Favorite post of the day, Amaryllis.

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond @TMaskedWriter That post sang at me in Alanis Morissette's voice without any prompt πŸ˜‚, awesome!

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond You know, I've always thought that Birchy Resting Face would be a better name for it. Resting Birchy Face sounds like you're saving it up for later.

"Wanna go somewhere?"
"Can't. Resting my Birchy Face."

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond I read the first two. I liked Rimmer's justification for spending all his free time in stasis.

@TMaskedWriter @AmaryllisLanza

Honestly, I never got the books. I watched the series many years back, but it was on PBS, and often the episodes were not in order one viewing to the next, so the later seasons I never got to, and much of the middle seasons were ... disorganized.

Still, I have the loveliest memories of the series. Ironically, I looked up and watched the first season again not long ago, and will probably try to see if I can track down and watch the whole series in order. Binges!!

@FernLovebond @AmaryllisLanza I haven't seen the newest series. Red Dwarf is still ongoing, it just sometimes takes them years between seasons.

@TMaskedWriter @FernLovebond Oh, really? I didn't know. I can't get it here in DK. I'm a big Whovian too and I've missed the last few years with Jodie Whittaker. The content licensing rules are a bit mishegoss in Europe. I wish they'd make them EU-wide releases instead of country-by-country, especially since so much is through streaming service these days.

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond All the good UK stuff is on Britbox, which is yet another subscription service. I DID get it for a couple months so I could catch up on QI, but that was it.

@TMaskedWriter @FernLovebond I just got Britbox here! But they are missing season two of Black Adder. I don't get to cackle at Queen Elizabeth I. 😟

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond If you get the DVDs, one of the bonus features is Tony Robinson giving us little history lessons on some episodes.

@TMaskedWriter @FernLovebond I had them for a while and we lost them at some point in one of the many, many moves. These days, I mainly stream or YouTube. I'm trying to reduce the amount of things I have to pack the next time around.

@AmaryllisLanza @FernLovebond Probably a good plan. My parents left me this house, I'm here til I die.

@TMaskedWriter @FernLovebond I was born on the waves and tossed on the wind. I haven't stopped since. I am a traveler. I am the passenger. I ride and I ride.

We just moved to this new house last year and no freaking way do I want to do that again anytime soon, but we will. Eventually.

@FernLovebond @TMaskedWriter It's definitely worth re-watching. To this day, I'll still crack up at. "Yes, so-and-so is dead. Everybody's dead. Everybody is dead, Dave." Especially with Holly's deadpan delivery.
