@Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine uh, yeah, think I know a few places to try, starting in Hollywood. Won't be cheap and they need to be careful with the degrading tape lamination.

NPR did a show describing how they converted tapes of old radio shows to digital media, and at one point they had to heat them in a toaster oven because they were too brittle to unwind from the spools.

Can confirm. Modified toaster oven to allow sneaking up through low temperatures.
