@0x56 China and Russia aren't quite the bff's they're made out to be. Helping Russia too much would compromise China's business with the world, and they can't afford that given their own growth lately. They see the sanctions and don't want them pointed their way, either.

@0x56 Eh, possible but China doesn't seem to want to be at war with anyone honestly. They do like to have control of things but I think are smart enough to know that one country will never rule the world.
China could say no and leave them to dry, eventually the puppet regime in RU will fall on it's face by either famine or populations disdain of their leaders.

The Russian state would have to hold together following this war in order for that to be plausible.
I'm expecting some dissolution, however slight and lengthy that puts it under the control of invading forces.
Or we all die in a nuclear holocaust.
