For those who may be in danger of such things, you may want to consider a location mocking app. Although, TBH I'm not sure if that would defeat E911 which the carriers use.
@0x56 I am fascinated. But if you are a domestic abuse survivor your phone is your lifeline. If you somehow alter it how are they going to find you when you do need 911? In rural areas it won't work anyway but theoretically?

@0x56 Right? The flaw in the system is always human. How would the person in the article disclosing location know it wasn't an authorized person. None of this is a problem with the technology.
