@LibertySpeaks - IMO, today should be just as celebrated as the 4th.

What's more spectacular, the fact that we get to have a say in our government or seeing 15 minutes of explosions?

Yes, and if jury duty is required and compensated, why isn’t the most important civic duty of a citizen, that of voting, not made as simple, and available and as secure as possible?

(Maybe reward it with a special tax deduction for those who vote regularly. At least free donuts and coffee or something...)

I like J’s idea of using blockchain technology to secure votes.

@TheAbbotTrithemius @LibertySpeaks - for me, it is as simple as possible - show up, tell them my address & name, and then off to the divided booths.

occasionally the volunteers bring donuts and a couple boxes of joe and the hosting school's PTO usually has a book sale, and perhaps even something for the kids to play with.

@0x56

I voted 2 weeks ago. They had stale chocolate.. but that's kinda New Mexico..

Land of Manana, while everything waiting gets old.
