CounterSocial is comprised of many elements, both open source and proprietary code. As such, and in order to comply with the various complex and differing open license agreements we release our service(s) under the umbrella of an OPEN CORE license. Individual component license compliance is detailed in this document below. The open-core model is a business model for the use of commercially produced open-source software. The open-core model primarily involves offering a "core" or feature-limited version of a software product as free and open-source software, while offering "commercial" versions or add-ons as proprietary software. More information on the Open Core model can be found here and here.
Under this model, proprietary intellectual property, while integrated, primarily comprises of technology built on separate stacks, using separate technology, languages, databases, often served via different servers, daemons and/or even subdomains to CounterSocial Core. These features and/or functions are generally available to CounterSocial Pro account holders and are largely embedded objects, 'frames' and
worker processes located at our infrastructure edge. Modifications to any open codebases is deployment specific and where applicable the source code is released under the corresponding open license below.
