Several acquaintances of mine are Japanese musicians - Hazuki-sama and Li-sa-X of Koiai, Saki (formerly of Nemophila), Kanade Sato (also of Koiai), Kanami Tono of Band-Maid, and a few others from Show-Ya and Tricot, so I have learned some Japanese expressions to make talking to them a little easier. Saki speaks good English from studying it at university, and Japanese ladies are my favourite musicians. That said, I do wish I had known hide-sama before he passed ...

@XaoslordErie Yes, I understand what you're saying... I didn't know much about musicians, but when someone becomes famous, their death is reported on TV media and so on... It's sad, but we have to live.

In this country, when hide-sama died, many here went from celebrating his life to consuming his death. It was sad to see. One of Japan's most beloved musicians of them all, but in America, his name was just something to be exploited and profited from. The late Jimi Hendrix said once that the reason people cry at someone's funeral is because they weren't finished using that person yet. It's a cynical outlook, but there is also much truth to it as well.
