Oh that it was possible to be sure. Sadly, global warming and melting permafrost will release many many viruses that haven't been seen in ages, for which populations may not have any resistance. It one of the lesser known features of #ClimateChange

Waste heat. Not yet a problem, but it will be a big one in a century or two. It's completely separate from the carbon problem. Serious question: Do Fox news viewers know anything about the Dominion lawsuit? Are they exposed to the discovery in that suit that shows, shockingly, how little the Fox execs and talking heads think of their viewers? Do they understand the level of misinformation that they have been exposed to? I expect they know nothing about this, as they live in a truth desert.

Completed closet shelving...

I previously designed and built this full walk-in closet in the main bedroom. Previously, this closet was also just an empty room with a single overly long curtain rod.

#homerenovation My next DIY project: A set of built-in shelves and double hangers for this wall of my son's closet. Currently, the closet has a single overly-long rod and a dresser inside it, but is not very functional.

I just pinged my 4k followers on twitter that I was shuttering that account permanently in 24 hours. That place has a sickness, and I don't see and end to it.

We had 24 hours where the local temp was below -1 F, and reached -20F before wind chill. My solar more than offset the energy needs all of my electric usage, including the needs of my geothermal heat pump over the 24 hour period. So I heated and ran the electric in my house on the coldest day of the year without purchasing or paying for utilities.
Yeah. renewables make sense.

I know I am lucky to be able to feel this. It is a privilege. I have family with me. Not everyone does. Nor does everyone have the wherewithal to feel warm and safe. Know that if you don’t feel this, you could. Seek love. Cleve toward those that can validate you. Know you don’t have to be alone.

Do you ever feel fortunate? I am overwhelmed by that feeling tonight. -20 outside. But we are warm and safe. And we feel each others love. Even my teenager is expressive in the face of the threat just outside our doors. Tribalism is a dirty word these days. But it has a powerful positive force inside it: Support. Comfort. Love… do you feel it?

Everyone alive on this planet today, and everyone born into the next 2 generations needs to behave in an emergency mode with respect to climate change. Do it now or you will regret it down the road. What is happening out west right now (a toxic mix of wildfires, biodiversity loss, flooding and drought) is just the beginning of a progressively worsening condition for life on Earth. Bring changes into you life, and demand change from institutions. #ClimateChange #greenenergy
