Serious question: Do Fox news viewers know anything about the Dominion lawsuit? Are they exposed to the discovery in that suit that shows, shockingly, how little the Fox execs and talking heads think of their viewers? Do they understand the level of misinformation that they have been exposed to? I expect they know nothing about this, as they live in a truth desert.
@northernbassist You really need to run those wires behind the wall. But you already knew that.
@EvilBunny Hmm. Maybe Abbot can explain how my system (solar panels and geothermal heat pump) provided 100% of my house's heat and electricity needs last week when the 24 hr max temp was -2 F and the overnight low was -21 F.
@chuck34108 Where is this brewed?
@DrJackBrown Yep. There's gold in them thar hills! Sadly the hills are a billion light years from Earth!

@CaliZaybak I shut my account down there yesterday. I don't miss it at all. The last month there has been stressful and disappointing.
@coffeeandhoney Yet another defenestration.
@TheNewsOwl It looks like whatever that truck was carrying ignited.
#homerenovation My next DIY project: A set of built-in shelves and double hangers for this wall of my son's closet. Currently, the closet has a single overly-long rod and a dresser inside it, but is not very functional.
@MindfulWilliam Huh. I like the idea of capturing the heat from a pile! I hadn't thought of that. Mind you, I don't have a use for it... no chickens, no greenhouse, and the wife would never allow the messiness of a working pile. But I do compost. Here is my solution. I built it out of hemlock (rot resistant). Two active chambers, alternated when filled. Sawdust from the wood pile and fire place ash for carbon and kitchen scraps and cuttings for nitrogen.
@LlamaMountainStudioArts We could take things into our own hands to protect against a shortage... <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Canadian_Maple_Syrup_Heist>
We had 24 hours where the local temp was below -1 F, and reached -20F before wind chill. My solar more than offset the energy needs all of my electric usage, including the needs of my geothermal heat pump over the 24 hour period. So I heated and ran the electric in my house on the coldest day of the year without purchasing or paying for utilities.
Yeah. renewables make sense.

Do you ever feel fortunate? I am overwhelmed by that feeling tonight. -20 outside. But we are warm and safe. And we feel each others love. Even my teenager is expressive in the face of the threat just outside our doors. Tribalism is a dirty word these days. But it has a powerful positive force inside it: Support. Comfort. Love… do you feel it?
