If the US, China and the EU all developed independent and aggressive limits on oil and gas usage whilst promoting renewable tech through targeted investment and regulation, then nothing that happened at COP 28 will matter. No one will buy their oil, as there won't be a demand for it. The problem can be solved by demand-side economics. #ClimateChange

@DJNoneYa True. But... Wind and Solar cannot be a grid base with current tech. We need hugely better energy storage, and we need other reliable base-load providers. Geothermal can provide this, but will require the expertise of big oil to do it in an economically viable way. The tech is there to make #geothermal viable almost everywhere. Big Oil needs to get on board that train.

@TheNewsOwl Sadly, the EPA holds no sway in the parts of the world most affected by Methane leaks. The biggest and most egregious, by orders of magnitude, are in places we have no reach, like the former Soviet bloc states.
