Is anyone here dissatisfied with the Presidency of Biden? If so, why? I am curious about where the low approval for Biden is coming from heading into 2024?

@wyrmeboi I'll try to remember to answer in detail later, but I have been watching Biden for decades, and I didn't just start not liking him when he finally got his wish and became president.

I'm voting for him against Trump, again, but only because it's Biden or destruction.

Biden likes the serfs happy and working for their masters. The R's want everyone different beaten down and enslaved or dead.

@AskTheDevil @wyrmeboi Maybe because Biden is good at saying very slightly snippy things to Trump, and saying very good things about all the wonderful stuff that he, Biden, does and how awesome everything is, yet I don't see any of that largesse making it to the general population.

I watched him stop the railroad workers from striking for a couple sick days, and then him claiming he helps unions. I see Trump policies he promised to get rid of reinforced and continued.

@AskTheDevil @wyrmeboi I also have not forgotten that he fought against desegregation, said "inner city" (for which read, black) kids were animals. I remember him creating and getting bills passed that gave us inescapable student and credit debt, while allowing corporations easier bankruptcy and helping give us mass incarceration.

I've watched him glad hand and pretend to be on our side, while making sure the largesse goes through the wealthy, not to us. Then he convinces people he helped.

@wyrmeboi

I've always liked him but am not crazy about some of his positions, I think I'm more to his left but anyone left, right or center who votes for anyone other than him this election is really a traitor if you think about it. There is no viable alternative on our side and the right has veered into fascism.

@wyrmeboi
I don't dislike Biden and will vote for him if he is on the ballot but would rather see someone else.

His biggest flaw imo is he doesn't understand when he's wrong. Thinks congress should fix immigration so he ignores it. Got a weak gun control bill passed and so he's done with that. In that regard he's just like Trump, it's always someone else's fault. His campaign is against Trump to save democracy, nothing about what he will do if reelected.

@wyrmeboi you're relying on poll info that's from ppl who have land lines. Like ppl my age, boomers born around the end of ww2. They'll answer the phone ever time it rings, unlike me who never answers the phone if it's from a number I don't know. So the polls are a little skewed by low info ppl. You know that they're rarely connected and not up to the "real" news,like the Fox news crowd. he MAGA crowd feels so secure. They're in the fringe 8%. Trump will never be potus, nor will any Republican.

@wyrmeboi I think its safe to say no one is particularly *excited* by Biden on his own merits. However, there is only one choice in the presidential race...unless you are ignorant and/or hateful.

@wyrmeboi In general I've been pleasantly surprised by what he's been able to accomplish. Worst I can say about him is that he hasn't taken SCOTUS expansion seriously. I don't love the line he's taken on Israel/Palestine, but he seems to be coming around on that.

Voting for him will be a no-brainer. I've already donated & will probably phone-bank for him & the rest of the dems.
