The next #homerenovation / #greenenergy project that arose from the #geothermal installation is related to this one I posted 6 weeks ago. <https://counter.social/@wyrmeboi/109384651271419270>. The ductwork there ran from the basement through a first floor office space. It currently looks like this. I will build a chase frame around it, move a switch, outlet, and extend the air return from the office.

The end result should look roughly like this. It will have built in shelving. The switch will be moved to the side of the chase and will be easily access by the entry door. An air return grate will be added to the top (mostly hidden) face of the shelving, and the plug relocated to the new surface. I've not done full face dry-walling before, so that will be an adventure. I'd like to get some lighting fixture up on this wall also, as it sit beside my desktop.
