Well either they think Twitter is dead, they want a non-celebrity to finish the job and reduce media exposure, or they suddenly realized that while Twitter is a powerful tool against their regime, it’s a lot harder to track groundswell movements across multiple smaller platforms.
Y’know how Jester used to herd online jihadists by taking down their smaller chatrooms etc? Musk did the opposite.
