@LnzyHou There's a very fine line between "being mean" and "being so kind while specifically being mean to you in a way other people will brush off if you complain". I used to hear my grandmother say things to her sister that left me in shock because you only knew how cruel it was if you paid careful attention!
My stepmother always astounded me with the cruelty of her words. Even with her own children. Vicious.
