My snake's kind do live birth. He is a dude. My dude is a solo artist.

I know all of these things...yet I'm still a little afraid every time I clean his tank that I'll find he has laid eggs.

@weirdfizz our corn snake started laying eggs at 15 years old. if they're female, solo or not, they lay eggs, just like chickens. they're sterile, of course.

@redenigma That's fascinating! Like komodo dragons. Leave a female alone long enough and she'll give birth to a male so they can start things up again.
