Was on LinkedIn a little bit ago to check notifications and got sucked into their feed for a bit. Saw some jacknut’s hot-take on Twitter “not needing 7500 software engineers”… and tho thankful others were calling him out, that post and a few others I’ve seen recently busted my naive bubble that there aren’t trolls there. That and the general “omg y’all celebrate my awesomeness” make me want to spend as little time there job searching as possible.
@port_rhombus My husband does great on LinkedIn, seems to mostly be connected to good people and can handle standing up for them when assholes show up.
Me? I was there for a couple of months and left. I miss some of the people I got to know, but there was just too much drama wearing a "Ask Me About My Fancy Degree In Asshattery" shirt.
