I do not know what use Google's AI that it serves up now with ordinary searches is supposed to be, but to anybody with a even a basic amount of learning it can only be depressing, as it routinely offers misinformation and often contradicts itself. There's such a thing as being worse than no information at all.

@DavidSalo Meta AI is arguably worse because it appears without being invoked, just when you're attempting to search Facebook postings or friends. Though Google puts its AI in your face at least you can scroll down to see the actual search results.
By comparison, good old Alfred never comes unless you call him, and then seems much more useful. And humble.
