I’ll say it again, Americans, humans, will NOT be able to spend their way through climate disasters. It’s going to be cheaper to address climate change, severely reduce fossil fuel use, or most people will go broke.

@GrazingintheGrass The next domino to fall could be the insurance industry, already broken in Florida and Hawaii, teetering in California, from hurricanes and wildfires. Who will write affordable home insurance in North Carolina? Then will follow the mortgage market, then the property market.
