I was just reminded of my favorite heavy metal traditional Mongolian folk band, The Hu. I assert there is no better heavy metal Mongolian band.

If you like them, listen to more, like The Great Chinghis Khan. And Yuve Yuve Yu, a lament to the loss of ancient traditions.

I can say without hesitation that this is the best Mongolian heavy metal band I've ever heard! Seriously cool stuff. I love when artists blend traditional music with contemporary sounds!

@p3R1n01D Me too! I also enjoy Spanish pianist Miriam Mendez and her flamenco interpretations of Bach.

Also Black Violin for hip hop baroque. I heard a concert for middle school kids and they had 1500 young teens standing and clapping to Bach

@walterbays
Flamenco Bach, this I've got to check out! And the hip hop Bach with the kids sounds awesome! I've loved Bach literally since the cradle. ❤️ 🎶

I'll bet you'd like this one, and others by Snakecharmer. It's a powerful mix of traditional Celtic and Punjabi, with a techno-modern sound. Sort of heavy metal on bagpipes. One of my favorites!

@p3R1n01D Love the Celtic Punjabi, thanks! You might like this one. What if music and dance crept into dismal real life as easily as they break out in Bollywood musicals?

@p3R1n01D One last Black Violin video, this one with a powerful cultural and political message about gun violence, so I'll post it as a reply to this with a content warning.

@p3R1n01D Stomp Out Loud looks interesting, thanks.

If you're like most, um, like almost nobody, you're probably wondered what would happen if a Scandinavian Euro-trance techno band went to East Africa and started jamming traditional taarab with the locals. Well, it would be Acid Queen.

@walterbays
Sounds like you've got my number, "like almost nobody!" 🎯 😎 😂

And yes, as a matter of fact, I've been dying to hear a good Scandinavian Euro-trance group work with traditional East Africans! 😂

That really is great stuff, thanks for passing it along!

@p3R1n01D I wish I knew a speaker who could translate the song Sema for me. It's such a haunting song I'd like to hear the story. Google translate tells me the word "sema" means "say" or "speak" which only piques my curiosity. But I can't spell any of the other words I hear, so can't translate them.

@walterbays
Those look great, thanks! I'll have to save them for tomorrow, better get to bed for work. Looking forward to checking them out! 🎃
