Visited the San Diego Maritime Museum before crashing. Impressive and well worth a visit!
My high point was being onboard the fictional HMS Surprise deck that Captain Aubry (Russell Crow) walked on in Master and Commander. Except we walked on it too!

@jaunty Periodically you can sail aboard the San Salvador, a replica of the first European ship to reach the West coast of America. You can choose to be a passenger or crew, working the lines and canvas under orders of the captain. They do not flog you should you make a mistake. Otherwise it's authentic. Loads of fun.
