So, what the Hell started the fires in Hawaii?

Usually fires don't start themselves.

My first thoughts, when it comes to these kinds of fires, I think "humans started it" first & "natural causes" second.

So, then it becomes a question of accident or arson?

@Astartiel Power lines downed by high winds, as is usually the case in California. I question the wisdom of above ground power lines, and of needing so many lines. Utilities must be forced to stop their nationwide campaign against locally generated solar power and distributed storage. Many distribution lines and some transmission lines will always be needed, and as many as possible should be buried underground.

@walterbays I just commented to someone else that underground powerlines in high wind areas would seem logical and safer. Again, the human element here can't be ignored.

@Astartiel Putting power lines underground is very expensive. But whatever value you put on a human life, rebuilding cities demolished by fire is more expensive. By comparison, building a solar panel shade structure over a parking lot begins to seem downright cheap.
