@AskTheDevil I want all three branches to follow the Constitution, *including* the Supreme Court which now has no regard for it.
@AskTheDevil President doesn't have such power under the Constitution. Just as Court doesn't have the power it claims to override both executive decisions and rewrite Congressional acts to its political whims. So if they illegally claim it and he illegally claims it - and if he's a patriot who would never never take advantage of dictatorial powers - maybe he could leverage that to get SCOTUS to begin following the Constitution. 😥

I agree with the sentiment and the need for something to be done. This would be a slippery slope subject to much future abuse.
We need congress to open impeachment investigations but I'm sure they won't.
@walterbays I agree with that mission, but I'm not sure giving the executive power to ignore the judicial fixes it, I think it just creates a different problem.
The problem we have with the supreme court is not that the president is accountable to them, it is that they are not accountable to anyone.
