Today is the National IQ test, don’t fuck it up!

I was 5th in line at my town voting station this morning. The line was up to 75 or so by the time the doors opened at eight (it's a small town; only a few thousand). The energy was good. Maine, oddly, uses ranked-choice voting, but only for federal elections. So, while the governor was a pick-one situation, I had to rank the congressional candidates.

Democracy dies in apathy. VOTE, if you haven't already.

Massachusetts made mail in voting something just... more easily available without needing a reason to ask for it... and let me tell you, I love that. I love that with all my heart. I voted before my surgery, then I checked the Sec of State's ballot tracker and saw that my ballot was accepted by the time I left the hospital and now I just have the regular existential vote worries.

Anecdotally: my one guy I've been working to wean from Fox news and Rogan/Peterson/etc, a Trump voter but also a pro-choice atheist, claims he voted straight blue ticket. IDK, that's all I got. I donated to flippy senate Dems, I shouted angrily a lot. And I talked this guy down for the last six years. It's demoralizing AF that after Dobbs, Walker, Oz, and Laxalt stand any chance of initiating the disaster that follows.
