Sorry, #Grindavik.
This does not look like it's going to be safe this time.
@ulfhenrich
I've been watching too, very sad!
@ulfhenrich WOW!
@Pat_Walrond Yeah, too sad. But as you can find marks from previous water levels in old cities, there were a lot of sign in the nature around Grindavik that just spelled DANGER.
@ulfhenrich Yes.. unfortunately people will go back and build houses where natural tragedies and events have occurred.
Stunning capture
@LnzyHou @ulfhenrich the fissure near the town opened so quickly, it was incredible to watch on real time as it vented gas and lava. So sad for the town.
@ulfhenrich @LnzyHou Heartbreaking for the residents.
@SimplyZippy Yes, but they#re safe since the area has been evacuated long ago and all workers had to leave yesterday. There was only a rescueing task force close by, it was them who preserved all the heavy machines this morning and eventually closed the road gap in the protection wall. Still, the dike is not that high here as in other areas, as can be seen on the live stream.
