“It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”

@ErFlynnArt I mean, I get it on some level - nobody likes to see a property they loved as a kid get turned into something bad, especially since pretty much every generation of kid since the 60's has been able to enjoy some version of Scoob. When it gets to the "acting like screeching zoo animals" point I tap out, ha.
Oh man, don't get me started on Rob Zombie's sins. 😂
@ErFlynnArt Well, technically it's a Velma show, but don't go looking for literally anything familiar to the franchise - especially the existence of Scooby. People were rightfully dragging Mindy Kaling all over town before they turned on each other.
Going back and seeing the discourse around the new Velma show is a great snapshot of who is left on the birdsite.
What started off as a show so bad that it united people of opposing mentalities has quickly turned into an argument of extreme, kneejerk reactionaries on both sides, throwing poop at each other because they don't like it for the wrong reasons.
I thought that type of incessant, clawing anger was reserved for like, depictions of hell. Well, I guess it still is.
@InUnfunky Yeah, there seems to be a heavy demographic skew... 😄
50 trips around the sun ain't too shabby!
I agree. I've heard stuff from MSNBC that made me groan just as loud as the usual Fox News slant.
The actual facts aren't usually hard to find, and often have a lot more gray area than whatever some clickbait article title is telling you.
Seeing people constantly agree with (and parrot) whichever corporate news media panders to them scares the living daylights out of me. It's borderline religious with some folks.
@Jacki Aw, shucks!
Somehow, I'm not surprised... #news
