Traveling almost an hour for a good bowl of pho. Yeah, it's worth it.

@LnzyHou Getting more common around here. Used to be two restaurants in my little town that served it, both closed but now there's a food truck that serves it from spring to early winter.

Still gotta head out to Knoxville for the real homemade-tasting stuff.

@tyote @LnzyHou Even in mid-sized cities, it's hard sometimes to find good pho. Went and got my own star anise and fennel to make my own haha.

@kayleenmeow I guess I should feel lucky I only have an hour to travel, then!

Making it yourself the way to go, especially if you make your own bone broth. 🀀 Also inspired me to start growing Thai basil.

@tyote I've got Thai basil and lemongrass seeds in the works for spring, I get it. I can buy 'em, but can you imagine how satisfying it would be to make from stuff you grew?

@kayleenmeow Felt that way since I started being taught to garden as a kid. πŸ‘πŸ»

I still need to try growing lemongrass. I can attest that Thai basil is best when plucked fresh from the stem. Home-grown jalapenos add a little more pop, too. Growing it yourself is *really* making it from scratch!
