One last grump post before I search for some sort of caffeine:

People will often ignore the truth, or the pursuit of it, over something easy to digest that aligns with their beliefs and prejudices. No individual is safe from this potential mistake - no ideology is so sound that it is rendered totally immune.

To call out the errors of others, while making the same errors in your own space, is quite literally the definition of a hypocrite.

Isn't hypocrisy still a bad example to set?

Using the hypocrisy of your ideological adversary as an excuse to perform the same actions you chastise them for doesn't do anything but drag you down to their level, and open you up to the same criticisms and lack of due respect - maybe more so, if you truly believe you're on the "good" side. It's falling prey to a sort of dark, or negative, empathy.

Pardon the intrusion. Enjoy the Concussion Bowl and the overpriced ads. I type any more and this turns into a Bill Hicks set. Coffee please?!
