@Pennsylvanian Solid choice!
@tyote My wife did this just last night. Rinse with cold water then Neosporin or otherwise just soap (ouch) & water. 👍
@BillyBones Neosporin is a real lifesaver.
@tyote soap and water. peroxide kills healthy tissue as well as infected tissue. Alcohol just stings without any real benefit.
@Greytdog Huh, didn't know alcohol wasn't very effective.
@tyote Saline. If it's good enough for ER, it's good enough for me.
@stueytheround Interesting. Does it come sterile in a bottle, or little packets you mix with water?
@tyote Gently running water. Sometimes with liquid soap if I really feel the need. If it was inflicted by an animal, I might up my game to bacitracin or neosporin post cleaning.
@TrueBloodNet Those animal wounds are serious business. Nothing would get me in a clinic faster than a bite from a wild/stray one...
@tyote I've had my share. If it's deep, and I couldn't seek a doc immediately, that's when I might use alcohol or peroxide. IDC if cells that could be infected with who knows what get destroyed. But still, anti bacterial cream after.
@TrueBloodNet Can't underestimate the power of a good anti-bacterial cream. Has cut my healing time in half many times.
@tyote soap and water
