This post (on the other site) by Alex Stamos is *the* ultimate commentary on why Musk's plans for Twitter are already doomed (Stamos was the fmr Chief Security Officer at Facebook, now head of 'Trustworthy Tech' at Stanford. He famously departed Facebook over the inertia surrounding the Russian misinformation campaign in the 2016 election). Here, he clearly lays out the insurmountable, and disturbing, conflicts of interest he just bought into.

#lazy #Sunday Laid in bed for a couple of hours waiting on my 5AM alarm. Went on Twitter for a bit, too toxic, registered on Tribel - too annoying, came to hangout on CoSoc...therapeutic. My plan for the day: Get up at some point, walk the dogs in the woods, take my motorcycle for a short ride to make sure it can pass annual inspection, and a little bbq in the evening...not very ambitious, but it's going to be an all-nighter when my customers on the othwr side of the world wakes up anyway...

Moving on from Twitter.
@John_Scotus I don't have issues with commonsense positions... I do take issue with Party-line votes. If we can excise the partisanship monster out of public office and have them leave party affiliation at the door when they are serving in the public interests, it would solve a lot of problems.

@wethefree No as bad as me....My house is on top of a minor mountain. The driveway is 1/2 mile of unpaved winding path through the woods. There are No Trespassing signs all along the way. NO ONE comes up, let alone little kids begging for candy. Yet I buy plenty of good quality candy for Halloween every year and tell my spouse that it's "just in case". I usually gain a few pounds and sugar highs during my post-Halloween "clean up"😜
