I don’t mind the Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce scene. I don’t mind if this is all a rouse. I don’t mind broadcasters mention their relationship and having fun with it.
What gives me pause is the NFL’s involvement in this. Sure, jump on the Swifties bandwagon to get more women viewers, but with friendship bracelets and Easter eggs about their romance, this seems like the NFL telling Travis to date Taylor to get a bigger audience. #cososports
So I saw this morning about the Virginia state election turnouts and saw a majority of people want to keep abortion. That's good. The bad is the Dems are 3rd behine GOP and Independents. I know in every election, you have to get "moderates" and "independents" on your side, but I truly find it fascinating and disturbing in future elections
It's sad that Dianne Feinstein has passed away she was a trailblazer until the end. That being said, there is going to be a lot of talk about far-left Dems made at Schumer and other Dems for not replacing Feinstein, although if they knew their Civics, Feinstein had to stay in the judiciary committee seat because if she's gone and with a 50/50 Senate, the GOP will leave the seat empty and no judges confirmed. Now, it has happened, so no new judges in the next year and a half.
RANT: When I apply for jobs, I see a lot of job openings, but what bothers me is for contract, temporary, or part-time positions, you need to send a cover letter. We can debate if a cover letter is necessary (I don't), but do you really need it for a short-term position? Also, you have AI helping people write letters. Are you really going to learn more about a candidate from a cover letter? #cosojobs #recruitertalk
Hello #Cosonauts
It has been a very busy month with job interviews, fairs, my trip to Nashville, and approaching my 40th birthday. I was in the final stage of the job I liked, but didn't get it, so I have been freelancing with several projects and doesn't look like we're getting a surge.
Also, I have been out and about (with mask) to fairs and recently went to Nashville for a recrutiing festival.Check out the videos I did recently. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCo8qW-V919ySnqabd2scyRw
To follow up, at one of the fairs when I was going home on the shuttle bus, a family talk to me about my mask and apparently I help them remind them to put their masks on.
I'm not here to be an ally or advocate on masks, but glad someone cared about their own well-being.
I know most don't mask in public and that's your prerogative, but at least understand why people mask and why we need space.
There was a lot of hype on Stephen Strasburg and, imo, he exceeded those expectations. Yes, the injuries and TOS robbed him of a hall of fame career, but when he was out there, he was electric.
I was there on 6/8/10 for his debut and besides 2018-19, this was the best event (in general) I ever attended. That game brought hope for the Nats and DC and it paid off with sustained success in the 2010s which cumulate with the 2019 World Series.
Stras is the most important National ever #cososports
Bray Wyatt passed away. From Sean Ross Sapp, it was complications from COVID, which exacerbated his heart attack.
I always get trauma when I hear someone dies with COVID complications and a heart attack. I still think I would die if I didn't get great care. I have been fortunate to have it, but most don't and it's still not over.
I need to a video on what to do with people wearing masks.
I wish there is something to say about the GOP and it's a big mess. Frankly, I don't blame them, this is their plan all along.
I blame corporations to get everything as a profit center and that includes media. Workers are there to survive (and at times, grift) instead of informing us. It was a bad decision to make TV commercialized and wish we had the BBC way of paying a one-time licensing fee each year. It's much more cheaper than the streaming packages and cable bundles here in the states.
